Hello and welcome to the latest edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight and I, @zombiepie, am honored to be your host this week! It seems everyone has finally acclimated to 2018. While the year has certainly had a "rocky" start, I hope we can all come together an support each other in our endeavors. We have a brief, but jam-packed edition of the Giant Bomb Community Spotlight this week, so let's jump right into the two items of housekeeping I have for you!

Time to start off the new year by actually finding nice people on the internet for a change.

The crew is all back together and ready to share stories of motorcycles, incoming missiles, and robot nightmares. There also video game rumors, announcements, and complete resurrections. Don't miss it!

Hey everyone, it's that time of the year again! A good 5,563 of you decided to submit your top ten lists for Community GOTY voting this year, for a total of 46823 votes (not everyone put in ten games, and that's alright!) on 1008 different games.

Everyone seems to like Zelda a bunch! It was the #2 game on the Editor's list, but manages to take the #1 spot on both of the Community lists. (The two lists are separated by weighted voting, in which a #1 spot would be weighted more heavily than a #2 vote, and a list of pure votes without any weighting!)

Most of the games below should be pretty self-explanatory; games that were released in earlier years in other countries but hit the U.S. in 2017 were valid. A lot of people liked the most recent expansion for XCOM 2, which is why you might see it on the lists below as well.

What a year for games! Thanks to everyone who voted this year, and let's hope 2018 is as good a year for games as 2017 was.

Weighted list! (1st place votes count more than 2nd place, and so on)

Get ready to quarter up as Jeff and Jason apply science to Street Fighter!
In the weeks leading up to Valentine's Day, Ben and Abby are on the search for love. Why not start in all the wrong places?
Dan and Vinny play as trucks and fight their way through choppers, tanks, and war.
This week we're hot in pursuit of moose and squirrel, but along the way we run into Street Fighter V: AE, Horizon DLC, Nintendo's tiny Direct, horrible Silicon Valley beverages, Canadian computers, and thoughts on the state of the arcade scene.

Ōkami is just as beautiful as you remember. And also as long!
Some games make you feel smart, some games make you feel dumb, and Opus Magnum makes you feel both.
