HBO has officially ordered Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen to series and I'm pretty excited about that. The series is based on Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons DC graphic novel, but the series will not be an adaptation of that. It will be set in the same alternate history universe where superheroes are treated as outlaws, but the story will focus on a whole new present day setting and characters.

This series will expand on that universe and Lindelof has stressed that he would not be messing with the original story, which is the best way to handle the material without pissing off the fans. The official description released is as follows:

"Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own."

When talking about the new characters that will fill the story, Lindelof said:

"Some of the characters will be unknown. New faces. New masks to cover them. We also intend to revisit the past century of Costumed Adventuring through a surprising yet familiar set of eyes…and it is here we will be taking our greatest risks."

The cast...

If you're still wondering whether or not the scene at the end of Inception was reality or a dream, Michael Caine might have an answer for you. The actor revealed even he was confused when he first received the script for the film, and didn't know which parts of the film took place in reality and which ones took place in a dream. Caine recently revealed at a London screening for the film (via Syfy Wire) that Christopher Nolan helped him understand things more easily, and told him the scenes he was in were real:

"When I got the script of Inception, I was a bit puzzled by it, and I said to him, 'I don't understand where the dream is. I said, 'When is it the dream and when is it reality?' He said, 'Well, when you're in the scene it's reality.' So, get that -- if I'm in it, it's reality. If I'm not in it, it's a dream."

Well, there's the answer, Inception has a happy ending. That said, Nolan has gone on record to say the ending of the...

It looks like Tessa Thompson is going to be playing the lead female character, Lady, in Disney's upcoming live-action adaptation of Lady and the Tramp. She is currently in negotiations and if cast she will join Justin Theroux, who will voice the Tramp and Ashley Jensen. Kiersey Clemons has also been cast in the movie.

The story Follows "a pampered cocker spaniel named Lady whose comfortable life slips away once her owners have a baby. When, after some tense circumstances, Lady finds herself on the loose and out on the street, she is befriended and protected by the tough stray mutt Tramp. A romance begins to blossom between the two dogs, but their many differences, along with more drama at Lady’s household, threaten to keep them apart."

Lady and the Tramp is being released in 2019 exclusively on Disney’s upcoming streaming service sometime next year and it will be directed by Charlie Bean (The Lego Ninjago MovieDexter’s Laboratory,  Samurai Jack). As you might imagine, most of the animal characters will be brought to life with CGI technology.

I like Thompson and the film work she's done. There's...

We've got a new clip and poster from the upcoming sci-fi action thriller KIN. The clip shows off some alien weapon technology in action. That weapon is a gun that has the power to incinerate anything in its path. KIN actually looks like it could be a solid film. It has a fun vibe to it.

The story follows a young boy who accidentally finds this alien and ends up using it to save his ex-con brother from a villainous criminal. That villain is played by James Franco. They end up going on the run with the weapon and are also being hunted down by an elite squad of alien soldiers. Here's the poster and you can watch the clip below:

Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of 10 years of Marvel trying to get everyone into superheroes. It’s finally out on Digital, Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K which means that fans will be re-watching the film several times to find all the little Easter eggs and references. The home release also means that Screen Junkies has finally given the film the Honest Trailer treatment. The film may have been great, but that doesn’t mean people won’t find things to laugh at.

Netflix has released the first trailer for their upcoming Israeli spy thriller The Angel. The film is based on the true story of a man named Ashraf Marwan, "who was Egyptian President Nasser's son-in-law, and special advisor and confidant to his successor Anwar Sadat, while simultaneously one of Israeli Intelligence's most precious assets of the 20th century."

This Looks like a solid spy movie and the fact that it's based on a true story makes it even more interesting. The film stars Marwan Kenzari (The Promise), Toby Kebbell (War for the Planet of the Apes) and Hannah Ware (Aftermath).

The Angel was directed by Ariel Vromen (The Iceman) from a script by David Arata (Children of Men). It will premiere on Netflix on September 14, 2018.

In general it seems that Netflix originals are mostly disappointing, but one genre the streaming service seems to get right is the romantic comedy.  In To All The Boys I've Loved Before we meet a High School Junior struggling with the usual teenaged angst and insecurity who is thrust into more drama when some secret love notes she wrote find their way to 5 different boys. But is this one worth an hour and half of your time?

We really don't know much about Sam Elliot's new film The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then The Bigfoot. All we've been given so far is a poster, a synopsis, and a very intriguing title. Based on those things, I'm extremely excited to see this movie!

For those of you, like myself, looking for some more information on the film, Sam Elliot and director Robert D. Krzykowski sat down with /Film to talk about the movie and it sounds like they really enjoyed creating it. Before we get into it, here's the synopsis:

Sam Elliott (Tombstone, Road House) stars as a legendary World War II veteran who many years ago assassinated Adolf Hitler – an incredible secret that he’s frustratingly unable to share with the world. One day, just as he’s coming to terms with rounding out his life, Calvin gets a visit from the FBI and The Royal Canadian Mounted Police. They need him to take out Bigfoot.

Apparently, at some point in the film, Bigfoot throws up all over Sam Elliot and when asked if that was the kind of...

The Middle is a fun family show about a family. It just concluded with the end of Season 9 earlier this year and since then, rumors of a spin-off have been circulating. Well, those rumors aren’t rumors anymore. ABC has finally announced that they’ve ordered a pilot for a spin-off that will focus on Sue Heck played by Eden Sher. It is said that the spin-off will pick up a couple years after the end of the original timeline of the show, and before the flash-forward. This means that we’ll get to see Sue mature in the big city of Chicago. Honestly, it sounds a bit like Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt minus the bunker.

I enjoy The Middle. I think the characters are fantastic and the show is a lot of fun. However, for me, you need all the characters sharing the stage to make it good. I don’t think a show focusing on one family member is a great idea. I also don’t believe that most shows should go on for more than 5 or 6 seasons, so I guess you can take...

I've got a fun trailer for an action-packed zombie film for you to check out called Redcon-1. Don't write this movie off just because it's another Zombie film, it actually looks like it could be a good and entertaining movie! Especially with zombies that have enhanced combat and fighting skills!

The story follows a squad of eight Special Forces soldiers who embark on a suicide mission to rescue an important scientist from a city that is overrun with zombies. The film is also said to include "genuine relentless fight action and bristling with real military hardware."

After a zombie apocalypse spreads from a London prison, the UK is brought to its knees. The spread of the virus is temporarily contained but, without a cure, it’s only a matter of time before it breaks its boundaries and the biggest problem of all… any zombies with combat skills are now enhanced. With the South East of England quarantined from the rest of the world using fortified borders, intelligence finds that the scientist responsible for the outbreak is alive and well in London. With his recovery being...

We all need a little more mecha in our lives so here's a brand new teaser trailer for you to watch for Mobile Suit Gundam NT (Narrative) from Sunrise showing off some more cool footage from the upcoming film. This is a sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn and is set in the same Universal Century (U.C.) timeline.

The 30-second new teaser announces its theatrical release in 90 theaters across Japan on November 30, 2018, and it also highlights the characters and some new mecha suits. Here's the synopsis:

U.C. 0097, one year after the opening of "Laplace's Box." Despite the revelation of the Universal Century Charter that acknowledges the existence and rights of Newtypes, the framework of the world has not been greatly altered.
The conflict later dubbed the "Laplace Incident" is thought to have ended with the downfall of the Neo Zeon remnants known as the Sleeves. In its final battle, two full psycho-frame mobile suits displayed power beyond human understanding. The white unicorn and the black lion were sealed away to remove this danger from people's consciousness, and they should now be completely...

"The best thing we have going for us is being who we are."

We've got a great new trailer for you to watch from the upcoming crime thriller Widows. The story centers on four women who team up for a heist to pay off a debt that they are left with after their criminal husbands are killed.

The movie is set in Chicago, "amid a time of turmoil, tensions build when Veronica (Viola Davis), Alice (Elizabeth Debicki), Linda (Michelle Rodriguez) and Belle (Cynthia Erivo) take their fate into their own hands and conspire to forge a future on their own terms." The film is described as a "blistering, modern-day thriller set against the backdrop of crime, passion and corruption."

The movie was directed by Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave) from a script written by bestselling author Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl). The movie also stars Colin FarrellBrian Tyree Henry (Atlanta, Hotel Artemis), Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out, Black Panther), Garret Dillahunt (Deadwood), Carrie Coon (Fargo, Avengers: Infinity War), Jacki WeaverJon Bernthal (The Punisher), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo with Robert Duvall and Liam Neeson.

Widows will be released in theaters on November 16th.

"You never win with violence. You only win when you maintain your dignity."

I've got a fantastic trailer for you to watch today for a new film called Green Book that is filled with emotion, power, and a story that is relevant to today's world. The movie stars Viggo Mortensen (Eastern Promises, The Lord of the Rings) and Mahershala Ali (Moonlight, Hidden Figures) and it tells the true story of a friendship that "transcended race, class and the 1962 Mason-Dixon line." Here's the synopsis:

When Tony Lip (Mortensen), a bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx, is hired to drive Dr. Don Shirley (Ali), a world-class Black pianist, on a concert tour from Manhattan to the Deep South, they must rely on “The Green Book” to guide them to the few establishments that were then safe for African-Americans. Confronted with racism, danger—as well as unexpected humanity and humor—they are forced to set aside differences to survive and thrive on the journey of a lifetime.

The film was directed by Peter Farrelly (Dumb and Dumber, There's Something About Mary) and it looks like a great...

I know Anne With an E may not seem like the kind of show that you want to watch, but I've been watching it with my girls and it's actually really good!  If you haven't watched it. you should give it a shot. The show is apparently doing pretty good in the ratings as Netflix and CBC have renewed Anne With an E for a third season.

The series is inspired by Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel Anne of Green Gables, and Sally Catto, General Manager of Programming at CBC had this to say about the series renewal:

"We are thrilled to be able to announce a third season of Anne with an E before season two premieres in Canada. Anne with an E delivered a rich first season, drawing in both new and existing fans to the world of Avonlea. We have no doubt that Canadians will continue to fall in love with this beautiful and heartwarming series for seasons to come."

Cindy Holland, VP of original content for Netflix added:

"Through the storytelling of Anne with an E, the classic Canadian tale has transcended borders and...

Square Enix’s latest installment in the Tomb Raider series called Shadow of the Tomb Raider, is just a month away from release to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Now, Xbox players can busy themselves by playing Tomb Raider: Legend and Tomb Raider: Anniversary as both titles are now playable on the Xbox One via backward compatibility.

Both Legend and Anniversary were successful titles during their time with the PS2, PS3, Xbox and Xbox 360. Now, thanks to the backward compatibility feature of the Xbox One, players can relive their favorite moments while waiting for the release of Shadow of the Tomb Raider

These classic Tomb Raider games will be available on the Xbox store for a sale price of $1.99. Tomb Raider Legend was initially released twelve years ago, and pretty much laid the groundwork for games such as Uncharted. Anniversary, on the other hand, was released back in 2007 and served as the remake of 1996’s original Tomb Raider game.

Are you excited to relive these games on the Xbox One? What other classic titles would you like...

In a recent announcement by Activision, it has been confirmed that Spyro Reignited Trilogy will be delayed from its initial release date of September 21 to November 13, 2018.

In a blog post by developer Toys for Bob, co-studio head Paul Yan revealed that the delay was to ensure they get the remaster trilogy right.

“Everyone here at Toys for Bob is so proud to be reigniting the original Spyro trilogy after all these years,” Yan said in the blog post. “We’re deeply committed to getting these games right, so we’ve decided to move the release date of Spyro Reignited Trilogy to November 13, 2018. I really hoped that you would be rescuing dragons and scorching Rhynocs sooner, but the Trilogy needs more love and care. In November when you’re exploring the Dragon Realms, Avatar, and the Forgotten Worlds, we know you’ll agree the extra time was worth the wait.”

A couple of weeks ago, the box art for the upcoming game showed a fine print stating that the physical disc of the Trilogy would only contain the first game, which...

Mark your calendars for August 28 because that is now officially National Power Rangers Day. This is a new campaign from Hasbro to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of the beloved show adapted from the Japanese original. It’s really simple to participate, too. Apparently, just color coordinate with your friends and post on social media with #NationalPowerRangersDay about memories and new things you’re doing. Of course, this year will also feature the special anniversary episode of Power Rangers Ninja Steel that will bring back some legendary Power Rangers. Here’s the blurb from National Day Calendar:

On August 28, It’s Morphin’ Time! National Power Rangers Day officially recognizes the original “teenagers with attitude” and celebrates all things Power Rangers!

In 1993, five ordinary teenagers exploded on the pop-culture scene with the launch of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Together they broke down barriers and defeated evil by demonstrating teamwork, inclusivity, and diversity to people of all ages. Today, this grand tradition continues as new Ranger teams and new generations of fans discover these essential values over and over again.

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld is a pretty blunt guy when it comes to comedy and political correctness. That's one of the reasons why I like him so much. He doesn't care what anyone thinks about his point of view on the world.

During a recent interview with the New York Times, Seinfeld weighed in on the controversy surrounding James Gunn be fired over his inappropriate jokes that resurfaced. He ended up comparing it to what happened with Roseanne. As you'll see, Seinfeld has a very different take on the matter.

"I didn’t read the jokes, but if they’re jokes, it doesn’t matter. I guess Roseanne Barr thought she was being funny, but it wasn’t funny — and if it’s offensive and not funny, then it’s not a joke. But any comedian that doesn’t understand that dynamic, you’re finished anyway."

He went on to explain that even if a joke is offensive he's not apologizing for it because it's a joke:

"No. Jokes are not real. People assume that when you say something that you believe it. It’s purely comedic invention. You know, I do this whole bit...

For those of you who are fans of the Dune franchise and you're into tabletop gaming, we've got some exciting news for you! Legendary Entertainment and Herbert Properties LLC is developing a Dune tabletop RPG!

According to the press release, Gale Force Nine will produce the original tabletop games "drawing from the full scope of the Dune franchise—spanning the many publications from Frank Herbert, Brian Herbert, and Kevin J. Anderson—along with multiple direct tie-ins with Legendary’s highly anticipated film from director Denis Villeneuve."

It's pretty cool that the whole thing will also tie into the upcoming film that Villeneuve is currently developing. It's explained that there's a full range of tabletop games, including board and miniatures games that are slated to be released just prior to Legendary’s theatrical release of Dune in 2020. In addition, GF9 plans to align with other game companies in numerous categories and formats in the future.

Jamie Kampel, Vice President of Licensing & Partnerships for Legendary had this to say in a statement:

"Gale Force Nine has consistently demonstrated a skill and passion for building successful tabletop game series alongside category leading partners and...
