The variety of games that offer a Battle Royale mode has grown since the popularity of PUBGand Fortnite. One of the popular original games that offered a Battle Royale mode, on the PC, was H1Z1which has a still growing fan base. Currently, Fortniteis unrivaled on the PS4 as the game to play for Battle Royale, but that won't be the case much longer. Now PS4 console players can look forward to a new-to-them, free-to-play Battle Royale game as Daybreakannounced that H1Z1will be available on PS4 in an open beta this May 22nd!
This console launch will be more than just a port over though. H1Z1 will be launching with all new weapons, gear, vehicles and more! There's something new for even the experienced players on PC to check out. Here's what the games producer, Terrence Yee, had to say about the launch:
"This is the battle-royale game for fans of action console shooters. Battle royale should be about the adrenaline rush you get from being one of the last few remaining, so we’ve drilled down to that core gameplay experience to keep...
During the Universal Pictures presentation as CinemaCon, M. Night Shyamalan, Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and Sarah Paulson came up on stage to present the very first footage from the upcoming film Glass! This is the sequel to both Unbreakable and Split, and this movie looks like it's going to be incredible! In fact, Glass is now one of my most anticipated films of 2019!
Before showing the footage, the filmmaker said, "In Spilt, I created the origin story for an anarchist that could be good or could be bad. The worlds of Unbreakable and Split finally collide in Glass." Paulson went on to add, "What if these real-life superheroes and supervillains are somehow locked up together? What could go wrong?"
Shyamalan went on to talk about how grounded in reality this movie is and says that it is "the first truly grounded comic book movie." He goes on to say:
“Eighteen years ago I had this idea: What if comic books were based on reality? I tried to tell the story of superheros in the real world with David Dunn. Then two years ago, I got another...
The trailer for Deadpool 2 has arrived, and it has slightly different footage than the official trailer. At least I think so anyway, it's really hard to differentiate between the two even after watching them back to back. That said I believe that powdering up scene is new and there were a couple other quick shots that seemed to be different.
Check it out below, and get hype for all the action May 18:
Another month is rapidly approaching, and with it, more things to watch on Netflix. The film selection from the streaming service this month is a bit thin, but the originals debuting this month are definitely looking like good adds for sci-fi fans. Check out the full rundown below, and let us know what you're most excited to see on Netflix in May!
We can all assume Thanos fairs pretty well in the first half of Avengers: Infinity War, but how would he fare in a WWE style Royal Rumble? IGN sought out the answer, and while their results weren't completely scientific, the video is quite hilarious. My only disappointment is that this wasn't a full 30-man Royal Rumble, because goodness knows there's certainly enough heroes in this film to justify it. Check out the throwdown below:
A few months ago we learned that Disney was going to be developing a live-action film adaptation of their classic animated series Kim Possible. The movie will air on the Disney Channel and today we've learned the two actors who will play Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable. Those young actors are newcomer Sadie Stanley and Sean Giambrone (The Goldbergs)....
Games are constantly being judged by three main categories: graphics, gameplay, and story. While many games tend to have two of the three main categories that make them worth it, there are very few that make the story the front runnerof the game's focus.
Taking on the challenge, Quantic Dream has been developing Detroit: Become Human. This game is a choice-based title that lets players control the decisions that their character makes giving them control of the story. Recently launching a demo, we have finally been given a chance to dive into this Heavy Rain-like experience.Story
While the overall story remains a mystery, we have gotten to know a little bit about our character; or one of them at least, given that the trailers have shown multiple character options. Playing as Connor, or detective android RK800, you arrive on the scene of a hostage situation to handle what the human police have failed to do so far; diffuse the situation and secure the hostage.
The story takes place in the futuristic year of 2038 where there are a variety of humanoid androids designed for...
Everything changes in the MCU this week with the release of Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War. It's amazing to see what Marvel has accomplished over the past ten years and after this, it's going to be really interesting to see where things go from here.
A lot of fans of the Marvel films appreciate what the various filmmakers think of each other's films. One of the more popular directors who work with Marvel is James Gunn and this was his initial reaction of the film:
In an interview with E! News, Chris Pratt talks about a conversation that he had with Gunn about the movie after he saw it because he wanted to know what he thought of it. After all, the movie does feature all of the main Guardians of the Galaxy characters and they are being played with by other directors. Personally, I think the Russo Bros. did a fantastic job with all...
For the first time in his film career, Harrison Ford is joining an animated feature. Ford will lead the cast in The Secret Life of Pets 2, the sequel to the successful CGI film. Deadline reports Ford will be joined by Patton Oswalt, Tiffany Haddish, Nick Kroll and Pete Holmes who will all join the franchise for the first time. Oswalt will take over the role of Max, who was originally voiced by Louis C.K.
Beyond C.K.'s absence, much of the cast from the original film will be reprising their roles. The film's script will be written by Minions writer Brian Lynch, and Despicable Me's Chris Renaud will direct.
No details have been released regarding Ford's character, so we can only speculate on the pet he will play. Does anyone have any guesses?
During the Warner Bros. presentation at CinemaCon, a video was shared in which director Andy Muscheitte talked a little bit about IT: Chapter 2. He teased that there are going to be some very dark things to come. He's currently prepping to shoot the sequel, but he promised
"It's going to be scarier and more intense, so bring your adult diapers."
I love that he says this! Usually, the adult aspect of Stephen King's IT story isn't the most popular aspect of it. Especially in the 1990s TV movie. It's everyone's least favorite part of the story. But, Muscheitte is obviously looking to change that and make this second part of the story even better than the first. I can't wait to see what he ends up doing with it!
The next film will be set 27 years after the Losers Club defeated Pennywise The Clown when they were kids. As they've grown up, they've forgotten about what had happened. When bad things start to happen in Derry again and kids begin to go missing, Mike Hanlon, who stayed behind in Derry to keep watch...
Machinima and Hasbro have released an exciting new trailer for the third and final chapter of their Transformers: Prime Wars trilogy, Power of the Primes. If you haven't been watching this series, you're really missing out, especially if you're a fan of the original cartoon series.
This trailer provides a first look at some of the impressive voice-talent who are making their debut in the series including Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, WWE Superstar Samoa Joe as Predaking, Mikey Way from the rock band My Chemical Romance as Snarl, Jaime King (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) as Solus Prime, and Gregg Berger the original voice of Grimlock returns to the role! They join returning cast members Mark Hamill, who made his debut as Megatronus in the finale of the second chapter of the trilogy, Transformers: Titans Return, Judd Nelson, who is voicing a character new to the trilogy, Rodimus Cron, Wil Wheaton as Perceptor, DashieGames as Menasor, MatPat as Swoop, and Rob Dyke as Devastator.
After Megatronus eliminates Optimus Prime and claims the Matrix of Leadership and Enigma of Combination for himself, the other Transformers robots look to Megatron to lead the charge against their diabolical...
With Avengers: Infinity War coming out this week, Screen Junkies decided to do an honest trailer for Edward Norton's The Incredible Hulk. This was the Marvel movie that came out right after Iron Man and before Marvel Studio knew where they were headed. The movie is part of the MCU, but in a way it also feels like the one movie that just doesn't belong because the events of it don't really matter in the MCU. The one thing that it really did was introduce William Hurt's General 'Thunderbolt' Ross to the MCU. Regardless of the mess that it turned out to be, I still actually enjoyed the film for what it was.
As you might imagine the guys at Screen Junkies had a lot of fun tearing into this movie in their latest episode of Honest Trailers. What did you think of The Incredible Hulk when it was first released?
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, which is already available today for both Android and iOS users, will allow players to create their character and experience the magic and excitement of being a student at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The mobile game will not only allow players to discover the mysteries of Hogwarts but also investigate the reason why the player’s older brother got expelled from the school. The game takes place in the 1980s, which is seven years before the arrival ofHarry Potterand friends at Hogwarts. The Travel Channel is producing a new series built around Megan Fox traveling the world looking for the truth behind some of the world's greatest mysteries. It's called Mysteries and Myths with Megan Fox. Fox is the co-creator of the show and she will also host it and serve as an executive producer.
I've never really thought that Fox would actually be into this kind of stuff, but according to Deadline, she has been obsessed with "the history of ancient cultures, people and places — always questioning their 'documented' story." Now she is teaming up with the Travel Channel to embark on "an epic and personal journey across the globe, where archaeologists and experts will re-examine history, asking tough questions and challenging the conventional wisdom that has existed for centuries. The series will delve into some of the greatest mysteries of time, including whether Amazon women really existed or if the Trojan War was real." Megan Fox has this to say in a statement:
"I would describe myself as a seeker. A seeker is someone who is never content to have obtained enough knowledge....
Last year it was announced that a Studio Ghibli theme park was in development. The park will be located near Nagoya, Japan in Aichi Prefecture on a 200-hectare plot of land. We now have a series of concept art to share with you giving us a look at what the design teams are planning.
The theme park isn't going to be filled with crazy rides or anything. The main focus will be to allow visitors to enjoy and relax in the Studio Ghibli worlds. People will be able to enjoy the nature and the atmosphere of it all. It actually sounds very peaceful.
According to NHK, the main gate will remind park goers of 19th-century structures out of Howl’s Moving Castle, like the image above, as well as a recreation of Whisper of the Heart’s antique shop. The is also going to be a Princess Mononoke Village and a Witch Valley that will include attractions for Howl’s Moving Castle and Kiki’s Delivery Service.
There will also be a Big Ghibli Warehouse filled with a collection of Ghibli themed play areas as...
Disney recently surprised the CinemaCon audience at their presentation with a behind-the-scenes featurette for director Guy Ritchie's live-action adaptation of Aladdin. That video included footage from the set of the film featuring all of the actors all decked out in costume and acting out certain scenes in the film. It also featured the cast and crew talking about the film.
It's been a long time since we've heard anything about this film, but now we know that it looks like Guy Ritchie has brought this world and these character to life in a way that I think fans will enjoy.
Will Smith plays the Genie in the film and he's not the big blue version of the character you might expect. It's a human version of the Genie and Smith is sporting a mostly bald head with long braided hair coming off the top of his head. It was also made very clear that he would not attempt to copy what Robin Williams did, which is a smart move. Smith will be bringing his own personality and style to the character, and everyone seems to...
Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for their upcoming animation film Smallfoot. This actually looks like it could be a decent and funny movie! The animated adventure "turns the Bigfoot legend upside down when a bright young Yeti finds something he thought didn’t exist—a human." The only thing is, his community of Yetis don't believe him. The synopsis goes on to reveal:
News of this “smallfoot” throws the simple Yeti community into an uproar over what else might be out there in the big world beyond their snowy village, in an all new story about friendship, courage and the joy of discovery.
So, one Yeti embarks on a journey to find Littlefoot to prove that what he saw exists. The movie also has an all-star voice cast that includes Channing Tatum as the Yeti, Migo, James Corden as the Smallfoot, Percy, Zendaya, Common, LeBron James, Gina Rodriguez, Danny DeVito, Yara Shahidi, Ely Henry, and Jimmy Tatro.

For the past ten years, Marvel has been building up their cinematic universe and it has all been leading up to the events that take place in Avengers: Infinity War. This is probably one of the most hyped up movies of all time. Now, the wait is over and fans will be able to see how it all comes to a close, and I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if fans are prepared for what this movie delivers.
I just caught a screening of it and I’ll tell you right now, it left me an emotional wreck. I’m not going to divulge any major story details, I’m not going to spoil anything for you, but fans are in for one hell of an unexpected roller coaster ride. Fans have no idea what they are about to get themselves Into. Even if you think you know what to expect, you're just fooling yourself.
This was a very emotional, dark, and dramatic story but don’t worry, it's also filled with some wonderful lighthearted humor to help you get through and cope with...
During Disney big presentation at CinemaCon, Marvel showed off a new trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp that was loaded with all kinds of cool new footage! The trailer put a big focus on Evangeline Lilly's The Wasp and there are some incredibly fun action sequences that involve her. The footage also offered us our first footage of Laurence Fishburne and Walton Goggins. We also finally got to see Ghost's powers in action!
I absolutely loved the humor of this Marvel franchise, they have a lot of fun doing really absurd things and the visuals are what make them so great! One of the first things we see in the footage is Paul Rudd's Ant-Man in his Giant-Man form riding on the back of a truck next to Walton Goggins' villainous character Sonny Burch. Ant-Man is hitting the side of the truck, but things are going the way he had hoped, so The Wasp pops up in the truck and starts beating the crap out of everyone inside. It's at this point that Scott Lang's daughter Cassie tells his dad he needs a...
Ashland University, which is located in Ohio, is looking to recruit the best Fortniteplayers as the institution is adding the popular battle royale game to their highly competitive esports program, TechCrunchreports. As an incentive, the university is offering a scholarship depending on the player’s skills and abilities in the game.
Fortnite, which is still relatively new, will be joining Ashland University’s esports program that has games like League of Legends, Rocket League, Overwatch, DoTa 2, and many others. In a released on the school’s official website, the head eSports coach, Josh Buchanan said that:
“Fortnite appeals to both the core and casual gaming audience. We’re excited to provide this platform for gamers who want to showcase their skills in a more competitive space. Fortnite facilitates an environment that allows players to get creative, innovate and show off their mastery of skills.”
The scholarship that the school is offering will lighten the admission fees by $4,000. Currently, tuition at Ashland University for an undergraduate program goes around for about $32,000. Of course, this won’t probably attract students who are targeting to enter a different university. However, for...
