20th Century Fox has announced the release dates for a slew of its upcoming movies, as well as a few shuffle ups, including the in-development sequel to last year’s smash Murder on the Orient Express, James Mangold’s Ferrari project and the animated family comedy Spies in Disguise, amongst others.
After the success of last year’s adaptation of the classic Agatha Christie novel, Kenneth Branagh will return as detective Hercule Poirot in Death on the Nile, which 20th Century Fox has set for a December 20, 2019 release, pushing it back just over a month from its original release date of November 8. Its new release date will pin the film against Disney’s Star Wars: Episode IX and Universal’s theatrical adaptation of the hit musical WIcked. That will be almost just over two years after the release of Orient Express. Death on the Nile was published in 1937 and follows Poirot was on vacation in Egypt which results in an investigation into a murder that resulted from a love triangle.
James Mangold’s in-development Ford v. Ferrari movie has been set for June 28 , 2019 release dates. The film, which stars Matt Damon and Christian Bale, follows a team of American engineers led by Carroll Shelby and British driver Ken Miles who seek to craft...
There are many names infamous in the horror genre over the years, but the only one to make a successful transition onto the small screen was Freddy Krueger, who hosted the Freddy’s Nightmares anthology horror series. Now another titan of the slasher world will cut loose on the small screen as franchise creator Don Mancini announced on Twitter that Child’s Play: The Series is officially in the works.
— Don Mancini (@RealDonMancini) June 22, 2018
It was previously reported in February that a series was in early development from Mancini and producer David Kirschner in addition to future films, and this new announcement seals the deal on the red-headed psychopath bringing his mayhem to television. Mancini’s previous discussion said the film’s story arc will continue with the series, marking a unique connection between a film and TV series.
The Child’s Play series has been running for 30 years, with the first film dropping in 1988 to box office success, generally positive reviews and a cult following, spawning six sequels that remained box office successes but slowly started earning more mixed and negative reviews, until the revitalized Curse of Chucky, which returned to the franchise’s horror roots and earned very positive reviews. The most recent installment, Cult of Chucky, was released on...

The network however is in talks with Sony Pictures TV to produce a 2-hour series finale TV movie though it remains to be seen if that will come to fruition. The good news is that Wolverine isn’t dead anymore. But he really should have left a message for his teammates on the X-Men. Some of Wolverine’s closest friends believe that his body was stolen, and they’ve made it their personal mission to get it back. Unfortunately for them, someone laid a trap in Madripoor and the X-Men quickly fell into it.
In our exclusive preview for Hunt For Wolverine: Mystery In Madripoor #2, writer Jim Zub and artist Thony Silas drop us into a flashback to the ‘80s era X-Men. More specifically, it’s a callback to the Kitty Pryde and Wolverine miniseries that cemented their emotional bond with each other. In that story, Kitty was brainwashed by Ogun, a demonic ninja who remade her in his image in a bid to kill Wolverine. She very nearly succeeded, but Wolverine survived and he helped Kitty recover her senses and her confidence.
Back in the present, Wolverine would really come in handy if they knew where he was. Kitty, Domino, and Jubliee were the only ones who managed to escape from Viper and her new Femme Fatales. Rogue, Storm, and Psylocke were easily beaten in less than a minute, which only makes things more difficult for their teammates. If even the powerhouse members of the X-Men couldn’t beat the Femme Fatales, then how can Kitty and her allies turn the tables and save their friends? They’re a...
IndieWire reports that director Edgar Wright is moving into the documentary genre with his next film, which tells the story of the cult pop-rock band Sparks.
Wright filmed one of the band’s concerts in London just this past May and confirmed that he was gathering archival footage of the band for the documentary, citing his love for the band as one of the reasons for choosing the documentary as his next project.

Formed in 1972 by Ron and Russell Mael, Sparks have been quiet hits since their beginning, landing on charts all around the world while only accumulating a cult following. They’re known for their songs “This Town Ain’t Big Enough for Both of Us” and “The Number One Song in Heaven,” as well as their albums “Lil’ Beethoven” and “Hello Young Lovers.”
The 44-year-old English director is still enjoying the success from his most recent film, Baby Driver, which hit theaters last year and grossed over $226 million at the box office and earned widespread acclaim from critics and audiences. Wright’s career has also seen successes with The Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy made up of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s...
