It feels strange to finally be able to write a review for Gang Beasts. After all, the game has been available to play in one form or another since 2014. But it finally graduated from its Early Access state and is now considered complete, or finished.

For those unfamiliar with Gang Beasts it’s a multiplayer beat ‘em up in which players control human like blobs with the only objective being to incapacitate the other players and be the last beast standing.

The controls are weird. You have...

VA-11 Hall-A, or Valhalla to save myself some typing, has one of the most interesting premises I’ve seen in a while. You play as a bartender at the titular bar in a futuristic, steampunk place called Glitch City. The basic gameplay is a visual novel, but rather than picking dialogue options to shape the game, you serve drinks to customers in the bar.

Deciding how much alcohol to put in certain drinks, picking a drink when a customer only asks for a type of drink, even ignoring a request and giving someone something they didn’t ask for, all of these things can subtly influence the conversations you have with customers.

Check out a new gameplay video for the upcoming RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance launching on 13 February 2018 for PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One. This has been on my radar for a long time, and each trailer looks better than the last.

Following a day in the life of Henry – the games protagonist – today’s video gives an extensive look on all key features of Kingdom Come: Deliverance including the detailed combat system. To survive fights in a country which is torn apart internally and invaded by foreign forces, evening the odds is key when rushing into a battle and the game offers plenty of more prudent approaches for players who keep an eye open.

Every choice bares a price to pay and forces players to face the consequences when they follow their own paths and dive deeply into the story of Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
