If you saw the Gentry house reveal tour in my Insta stories highlights, you know there is a cute little patio space right off of the dining room. We made this space feel cozy with just a few easy to find pieces like this jute rug, a pair of vintage Homecrest chairs, and the black metal Target bench that everyone loves (and for great reason – it’s SO affordable!). The show stopper is that firewood holder that is only $30!!!! So cute, right??

Now that the Gentry project has wrapped up (the new homeowners moved in this week!), we are ramping up to start a couple of new and exciting projects including another investment property and some renovation work at my own house! Yay! I can’t wait to take you along for the ride!

Kohler Whitehaven Apron Sink shown here in the Gentry project. I’ll be using this same sink in my upcoming kitchen reno!

Kohler is an amazing resource for me in all of my projects and I always look to their offerings for quality, timeless and modern kitchen and bath products. They asked me if I’d be willing to share my take on kitchen and bath trends and OF COURSE I jumped at the chance to get to put together a little preview for you guys of some of the rooms we’ve been dreaming up for our upcoming projects! I think it’s always a good idea to use classic neutrals as your design foundation in any space, but especially in kitchens and baths, and that accessories and lower investment items are great for experimenting with trends. That said, I think there’s a trendy way to do the classics!...

Rose Lumbar

I’m SO excited to finally share that today we are officially launching our Juniper Studio Home pillow line!! All of these pillows are made from beautiful linen fabrics with cotton tassels and brass zippers and they are made in the USA by a super talented local seamstress.

I’ve been putting long lumbars on beds and sofas for almost a decade (starting with this one!) and for about that long you all have been begging for me to start selling them. The time didn’t seem right until we were getting ready to stage the Gentry project. The colors and fabrics in this line were picked to coordinate with the decor of that house, though I think there will be something here for everyone!

Today we’re sharing BOTH of the Gentry Project bathrooms! I love how these two spaces came together.

Can you believe this is what we started with?! Blue fixtures, linoleum and silk ivy on the mirrors! :)

Here’s a shot after demo –

And here’s the hall bathroom now!

We used gray cabinetry from Madera Cabinets and Cambria’s matte Brittanicca quatrz. I love that the quartz has a matte finish instead of a polished, glossy finish. I prefer honed finishes on my countertops and I love that these Cambria tops are incredibly durable AND have...

“Where’d you get THAT?!” is my favorite response to sharing a space with you guys. I love using unique home decor and fixtures and Etsy is one of my secret weapons for finding pieces that feel special. When my friends at Etsy invited us to share some of our favorite shops with you all, I knew we could highlight so many just from the Gentry project alone! Here are some of the Etsy shops we keep coming back to over and over again!

Cascade Iron Co.

When we started designing the Gentry kitchen, I knew that in addition to our upper cabinets, we wanted to use open shelving to help keep everything light and airy. These handmade steel brackets from Cascade Iron Co. fit the bill perfectly! This shop allows you to pick both size and finish. We chose their 12″ depth and the waxed raw steel finish on these brackets and I think they’re perfect in this home!

Next up is one of my all-time favorite shops, Lucent...

Just off the dining room in the Gentry project house, and next to the office we showed you last week, is a casual family room and mudroom space. Considering these rooms used to be an exterior workshop, I think these spaces turned out beautifully and help this house flow SO much better!

If you remember from this post about the original layout of the Gentry house, we added to the total square footage of the house by converting a large workshop area off the back of the garage into a new mudroom, family room and a fourth bedroom. Today we’re showing you how we staged this fourth bedroom as a home office! For the step by step process of how we decorated this space, don’t miss the stories in my highlights on my Instagram feed.

Every room in every house needs some plant life (either real or faux!) to help the space come to life! Today we rounded up 12 of our very favorite planters that have come in handy for us in our last few projects. If you’re looking for a few new planters to add to your home and you don’t want to break the bank, check out some of these beauties! And please let us know if we’ve missed any of your favorites in the comments!

I’m SO excited to show you the #gentryproject living and dining rooms today! To see before photos of this space, check out my first post about the Gentry project here. Many of you followed along while we were staging this house and doing these decorating and DIY projects on my insta stories (they’re still saved in my highlights if you’d like to see more details on my process). We figured out a lot of these furniture pieces and DIYs on the fly, but I think it all worked out in the end and I’m so happy with these pretty rooms!

Well, the Gentry Project has finally wrapped up and I’m so excited to start sharing more of the finished spaces in this house with you! (In case you missed them, you can see the kitchen here and the master bedroom here.) We listed the house just a few days ago and we are already under contract! So exciting!

I really wanted the entry space of this home to feel colorful and welcoming, especially for the open house we held this last weekend! Our amazing iron front door that we had made locally from Signature Iron Doors, lets in the most beautiful light into our entry.

Kara Smith of the Home Study has been working with me at Juniper Studio for the past few months. She is a very talented designer and recently finished building a beautiful new home with her husband in Gilbert. Kara is getting ready for a couple big events at her new house so we offered to come over as a team and help her knock out some of the styling and take (a ton of) photos of her stunning kitchen!

Blue Apron had recently reached out to see if we wanted to have some meals sent to us at the studio as a way to kick off the new year in a healthy way (like, did you hear about their Whole 30 program in January and February?! Sign me up!). We used the field trip to Kara’s new house as an excuse to make their yummy shrimp taco lunch for the team!

(Side note — Blue Apron is offering

One of my obsessions is really great bedding. I’m the person that checks tags on sheets in guest rooms and at hotels – I’m constantly on the hunt for the perfect cotton sheets that are soft, cool and that wash well!

I’ve heard a lot of great things about Brooklinen bedding (over 12,000 five-star reviews on Google speak for themselves!) so when Brooklinen reached out, I jumped at the chance to try their luxurious bedding and to do a mini makeover of our bedroom!

Brooklinen helps you save money by skipping the middle man and selling exclusively through their website to people all over the globe. Brooklinen bedding is made with five core qualities in mind: long staple fibers, single ply yarn, 80 and 60 yarn threads, quality thread count, and unique finishing, all explained here for those of us that really love these details!! :)

Are you ready for Part 2 of our EPIC Living and Dining Room Makeover Giveaway?! If you’re just joining us, here is Part 1 where we revealed the living room makeover! We partnered with the incredibly generous to make this giveaway a reality and we couldn’t have done it without all of their beautiful furniture in these spaces! Thank you, Overstock!

Eeeeeeeps!!!! I’m bursting with excitement over here because on Monday we gave a beautiful, sweet family a brand new living room, dining room, entry and kitchen makeover!!!

Here’s a little back story: In early November I sat down with my team and we talked about how everything was going after moving to the new studio space and with all the additional projects we took on this year. It’s been SO good and fun, but admittedly, it’s been a little crazy. We brainstormed some ways we could edit a little for next year and refocus on the areas of the business that are the most rewarding (and fun!). We thought it would be so great to do something now in 2017 to sort of wipe the slate clean in preparation for the new year’s mentality. We came up with the idea of doing a huge, HUGE giveaway for a local family for the holidays. I mean, what better way to press the reset button than to figure out a way to give back, right? We were all VERY excited.

I’ve been wanting to paint my little office at Juniper Studio, but our ceilings in here are 15ft high (!), so I’ve been holding off. But recently I saw this image and decided a color blocked wall would be SO cool in here, so when BEHR asked if I wanted to use their 2018 color of the year (which happened to be INSANELY on brand with our Juniper colors!), I jumped at the chance to paint my office!

BEHR’s 2018 color trends are SO GOOD. Check out how beautifully all these colors play together! All of them are available at Home Depot now. Some of my favorite color combos are here – blush, olive, forest green, rust, coral and then of course this beautiful blue-green-gray color that they picked to be their color of the year. It’s called IN THE MOMENT, and I’m obsessed.

My office before was a boring sea of...

Today is SUCH an exciting day! The Gentry project is finished and I am so thrilled with how all of these spaces turned out, but I especially love the kitchen. When the time came to choose the appliances for this space, I knew we wanted to go with something modern, beautiful and most importantly, high quality. I was thrilled to get to partner with Bosch and Domino Magazine on this kitchen and I hope you caught the video series we posted on Instagram the past couple of weeks. We had a lot of fun with this collaboration!

We did a little sprucing up around the studio recently to get ready for the holidays! RetailMeNot invited me to see what kinds of deals I could find using their HOLIDAY DEALS page, and we really hit the jackpot! I’ve used RetailMeNot for many years, both online and with their app, to get additional coupons or promotion codes before checking out. But what I didn’t realize is RetailMeNot can also be used as a sale search engine, with thousands of coupons and cash back offers. You can hop on their site and see in one place where the deals are! It’s honestly such a great tool for saving money around gift-giving holidays.

  1. Gold Cactus Trinket Dish – You don’t have to be from the desert like I am to love a little bit of cactus in your life! This trinket dish is so cute in a bathroom, on a console table or on top of a stack of books.
  2. Leather Tote – I have and use this leather tote every single day. I love its simplicity and after three years of daily use, I can vouch for the quality! It’s great gift for yourself and others!
  3. Hair Pins – I get asked about my bobby pins every time I’m wearing them in my insta stories. I wear them three or four times a week probably and I LOVE them! They stay put really well and don’t rip your hair out either. I get constant compliments and questions about them, which means they’re great gifting material!
  4. Tassel Earrings – Inexpensive but nice looking statement jewelry is always a good gift idea, I think. These adorable tassel earring definitely fall in that category! I have been...
