Are you ready for Part 2 of our EPIC Living and Dining Room Makeover Giveaway?! If you’re just joining us, here is Part 1 where we revealed the living room makeover! We partnered with the incredibly generous to make this giveaway a reality and we couldn’t have done it without all of their beautiful furniture in these spaces! Thank you, Overstock!

Eeeeeeeps!!!! I’m bursting with excitement over here because on Monday we gave a beautiful, sweet family a brand new living room, dining room, entry and kitchen makeover!!!

Here’s a little back story: In early November I sat down with my team and we talked about how everything was going after moving to the new studio space and with all the additional projects we took on this year. It’s been SO good and fun, but admittedly, it’s been a little crazy. We brainstormed some ways we could edit a little for next year and refocus on the areas of the business that are the most rewarding (and fun!). We thought it would be so great to do something now in 2017 to sort of wipe the slate clean in preparation for the new year’s mentality. We came up with the idea of doing a huge, HUGE giveaway for a local family for the holidays. I mean, what better way to press the reset button than to figure out a way to give back, right? We were all VERY excited.

I’ve been wanting to paint my little office at Juniper Studio, but our ceilings in here are 15ft high (!), so I’ve been holding off. But recently I saw this image and decided a color blocked wall would be SO cool in here, so when BEHR asked if I wanted to use their 2018 color of the year (which happened to be INSANELY on brand with our Juniper colors!), I jumped at the chance to paint my office!

BEHR’s 2018 color trends are SO GOOD. Check out how beautifully all these colors play together! All of them are available at Home Depot now. Some of my favorite color combos are here – blush, olive, forest green, rust, coral and then of course this beautiful blue-green-gray color that they picked to be their color of the year. It’s called IN THE MOMENT, and I’m obsessed.

My office before was a boring sea of...

Today is SUCH an exciting day! The Gentry project is finished and I am so thrilled with how all of these spaces turned out, but I especially love the kitchen. When the time came to choose the appliances for this space, I knew we wanted to go with something modern, beautiful and most importantly, high quality. I was thrilled to get to partner with Bosch and Domino Magazine on this kitchen and I hope you caught the video series we posted on Instagram the past couple of weeks. We had a lot of fun with this collaboration!

We did a little sprucing up around the studio recently to get ready for the holidays! RetailMeNot invited me to see what kinds of deals I could find using their HOLIDAY DEALS page, and we really hit the jackpot! I’ve used RetailMeNot for many years, both online and with their app, to get additional coupons or promotion codes before checking out. But what I didn’t realize is RetailMeNot can also be used as a sale search engine, with thousands of coupons and cash back offers. You can hop on their site and see in one place where the deals are! It’s honestly such a great tool for saving money around gift-giving holidays.

  1. Gold Cactus Trinket Dish – You don’t have to be from the desert like I am to love a little bit of cactus in your life! This trinket dish is so cute in a bathroom, on a console table or on top of a stack of books.
  2. Leather Tote – I have and use this leather tote every single day. I love its simplicity and after three years of daily use, I can vouch for the quality! It’s great gift for yourself and others!
  3. Hair Pins – I get asked about my bobby pins every time I’m wearing them in my insta stories. I wear them three or four times a week probably and I LOVE them! They stay put really well and don’t rip your hair out either. I get constant compliments and questions about them, which means they’re great gifting material!
  4. Tassel Earrings – Inexpensive but nice looking statement jewelry is always a good gift idea, I think. These adorable tassel earring definitely fall in that category! I have been...

  1. Buffalo Check Dog Bed – Linus needs a new dog bed this year and I think I’ve found a winner! :)
  2. Spiced Cider Candle – Candles make the best hostess gifts. This one is perfect for the holidays. It smells warm and cozy!
  3. Candle Tool Set – If you want to give a candle but want to take it to full-gift status, add a few little things like a cute box of matches this candle tool set to make it feel a little nicer.
  4. Decorative Matches – See above :)
  5. Gold Planter – We have this planter in the studio and get asked about it all the time. It looks SO expensive, but isn’t! Bonus gift points for adding a beautiful plant like a fern or succulent. A small Norfolk Pine would be my pick!
  6. Ceramic Hand Vase – I LOVE cheeky accessories and this one fits the bill without being too juvenile or silly! I’d love this filled with eucalyptus branches sitting on an entry console (or anywhere, really!).
  7. “Dinner in an Instant” Book...

This weekend we started decorating for the holidays around the studio and at my house. I have a sliiiiight allergy to real trees so we’ve been using our faux white tree for the past couple of years, but this year my girls have been begging for a big, real tree since basically July. I gave in and will just pop a couple extra Benedryl for the next few weeks. :)

At home and at the studio, I’m keeping it simple this year. I’ve been drawn to more modern holiday decor to add to my more traditional Christmas items I’ve collected over the years. I’m most excited about making these wooden bead garlands and a few simple wreaths! Also our friends over at Sonoran Handmade sent us this amazing modern acrylic nativity that I really love!

I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!! I’m up at my parents’ house with my family, enjoying the cooler weather and stuffing our faces. We all just woke up from our Thanksgiving naps and now we’re all talking about Black Friday sales!

There are a couple of general sales to be aware of – like Overstock’s 15% off (my mom’s bar stools are from Overstock! Love them) and West Elm’s Buy More Save More sale (you can snag my favorite office chair in the world for 30% off!). In an effort to help you save time, we rounded up  some of our favorite and most asked about items from that we used throughout the year – that also happen to be a part of some awesome Black Friday sales!

Indigo Lamp Base – $34!

We used this dark indigo lamp in our One Room Challenge master bedroom and it is so, so beautiful! It is the absolute perfect shade of blue!!

Thanksgiving is somehow upon us already. I was pretty sure it was still August and then I blinked and here we are! Between the Gentry project wrapping up, the One Room Challenge, getting new prints and products lined up for the shop and holiday sales, and the beginning of a couple new house renovation projects, we have been slammed around here. I’m so grateful for an amazing team of go-getters and can-doers! Now I just need things to slow down a tiiiiiiny bit so I can soak it all up and enjoy it a little more. :)

Earlier this week week we put together 5 table settings for your holiday table. There is a lot of inspiration here! We used a good mix of affordable and vintage items to create some really special looks.  Click here to see the full post!

Today is an exciting day!! We installed the Gentry Project master bedroom for the One Room Challenge this week and I couldn’t be happier with how this space turned out! It’s all of my favorite things a room can be – colorful with neutral foundations, textural, layered and eclectic.

Here’s a look at how the room started when we got our hands on this old, dated house a few months ago. We’re wrapping up the entire house this month with our partners at the Treehouse Group Contracting. They’ve been awesome to work with and everything is looking so great! Get ready for LOTS more pretty spaces from this fun project. :)

Thanksgiving is a BIG DEAL in my family. We go up to my parents house every year and stuff our faces for like three days straight. :) It’s amazing.

I love making our Thansgiving table look extra special, but that doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune on new flatware or expensive china! Here are some table settings we made with clearance items, Amazon finds or easy to source pieces! I think these are all so pretty – it’s hard for me to pick a favorite! :)

I always have a bunch of my favorite white ceramic plates and gold flatware ready to go. These are the perfect base for almost any style of table setting!

This first setting idea is a little more on the traditional side. We put an updated spin on your classic Thanksgiving patterned dish (on clearance!) by pairing it with solids in deep, rich colors. Also, can we talk about how amazing this flatware is?! IT’S FROM AMAZON. Find of the century. We have the white and gold set here, but we also used the black...

This is the last week of the One Room Challenge and we are kicking it in to high gear over here! We are picking up a few final items and plan to install over the weekend! We are so excited to see this room finally come together!

If you can remember back to our design plan, we had this Arteriors dresser as our inspiration. We fell in love with the color and and lines, but unfortunately it is no longer available.. not to mention it was super pricey. We had seen a few dowel pull dresser DIY’s floating around, but none of them totally fit the bill of what we were trying to do, so we came up with our own version!

We picked up one of these dressers and built it to the specifications, leaving the knobs off. Since this is a natural wood piece, we primed over all of the knots to keep them from bleeding through the paint...

ATTENTION PHOENIX AREA FRIENDS!!!! I could not be more thrilled to announce that we at Juniper Studio are partnering with our friends at Overstock to give away a complete living and dining room makeover!!! Isn’t that the most exciting thing!?

This week we are tackling the window situation in our master bedroom for the One Room Challenge! This room gets a lot of light, which is so, so pretty, but we really need to add some privacy and some light control in here! I’m planning on woven shades for the windows for practical reasons, but I REALLY love curtains in a bedroom. They really help to soften the space and somehow make it feel safer and more comfortable? I’m a big fan.

The added bonus of hanging curtains is you can make smaller windows look bigger or smaller depending on how you hang the rod. I usually hang my rods high and a little wide so windows look bigger and the ceilings feel taller. It really helps to trick the eye!

When we were looking at inspiration for this room, I kept coming back to the idea of incorporating a grid pattern, sort of like the the Dash & Albert rug we used Lucy’s dining room. I like that the scaled is modern and sliiiiiightly graphic, but still pretty subtle.

There’s a new Arhaus location right by my husband’s office in Phoenix and on a recent lunch date we popped in to check it out. I’ve been a fan since one of my clients introduced me to their online store years and years ago, so it was so fun to finally see all their beautiful products (that are truly so well-made) up close and in person! The space is GORGEOUS and I loved so much of their furniture and accessories! When Arhaus reached out to see if we needed anything for our new design offices, I immediately thought of these green leather dining chairs! The chairs come in a couple different shades, but how perfect is the green for our Juniper Studio offices?

We placed them around our new ebony stained oak dining table I designed and had our local carpenter build. We sit here often for meetings and meals when clients are...

We don’t usually do a lot of Halloween decorating inside our house, but I do LOVE a good fall-inspired front porch, with pretty mums, gray and white pumpkins and lots of textural accessories.

It’s week 4 of the One Room Challenge! Today we’re talking about bedding and rugs!

Farrow & Ball wallpaper // Article chair // The Mine nightstand // Hayneedle sconces //

Hayneedle bed // Dash & Albert rug // Article leather bench // Pinecone Hill throw

We’re thinking of doing a project sort of like this simple DIY for the curtains in our ORC master bedroom space! I love the subtle block print we did here in Lucy’s bedroom!

We’ve got some beautiful windows in the Gentry house project and I want to keep the room bright and light but still have lots of privacy in here obviously! Speaking of bright and light, check out these beams! Love how this spaces is coming together!

One of my friends mentioned that she was using this cabin project we finished up last year as inspiration for her new house. She had some questions about some of the sources and asked if she had missed the full reveal post. And I realized we somehow we completely skipped posting about this project on the blog! Which is CRAZY because I love, love, love how it turned out! We’ve posted bits and pieces of some of the spaces, but I thought you might like to see all the rooms in one post with all of the sources. As always, if I’m missing anything, leave a comment!

This client used Sustain Interiors out of Hood River, Oregon as the contractor on this job and I have to add my plug for Heith and his team at Sustain. They are AMAZING to work with and pretty much the nicest, most down to earth people on the planet. Couldn’t recommend them enough if you are renovating or building a vacation property outside of Portland! I also have to throw in HUGE props to Megan Evans, who was working with me when we designed and installed this project. Since we are doing a lot less client work these days, Megan is growing her own design business now and it has...

It’s One Room Challenge update time!! Last week we talked about the Farrow & Ball Jasmine wallpaper I have fallen in love with. The pattern is soft and subtle and the taupe color is so warm and happy. I think it will be a great backdrop for poppy art and modern touches! This week we finished selecting furniture for the room. We found a simple, clean-lined upholstered bed from Hayneedle that I like a lot! I think it will be so pretty with the wallpaper and the blue Dash & Albert rug we’ve all been obsessed with here at the office. We ordered the 10×14 size which will be so cozy and soft!

We picked out some of our key furniture pieces from The Mine including those beautiful nightstands as well as a bunch of accessories. The mirror is HUGE and will look great above our dresser, layered with art and that crazy cool lamp.
