Web Design Spotlight: Tran Mau Tri Tam abduzeedo Aug 16, 2018 Tran Mau Tri Tam is a designer from  Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with a really cool portfolio of web design projects. For this post I would like to feature some of those projects that has inspired me during the process of redesigning Abduzeedo. In addition to the beautiful visuals I like that Tran also explores motion design, some times with transitions or just way the scroll would work and details like that. As the designers evolve, we should always try our best to design the full experience, that means from not only how things, look, but how they work, behave and probably the most important, how they are made. For more information about Tran Mau make sure to check out:  Dribbble Behance Web design
Daily Design Inspiration abduzeedo Aug 16, 2018 Part of the Daily Design Inspiration series that started it all on Abduzeedo. This is where you'll find the most interesting things/finds/work curated by one of us to simply inspire your day. Furthermore, it's an opportunity to feature work from more designers, photographers, and artists in general that we haven't had the chance to write or feature about in the past. For this Daily we are selecting in graphic design, art direction, photography and more. Our goal is to diversify the types of work and in the future we can perhaps categorize them in different sections. For now we are going to stick to the simple format of images and links. I hope you enjoy and share with us via Twitter or our Tumblr. Until further notice, we'll display the images and the titles added to them. Because of little issues we had in the past, the images are still linked to their authors, we just won't mentioned who shared them like we used to. Daily Design Inspiration
Mission Workshop introducing a Capsule Padded Case, Laptop Briefcase and Laptop Sleeve AoiroStudio Aug 16, 2018 We are providing a pretty rad update from our friends from Mission Workshop where I have been reviewing myself The Rhake for the last few months. The review should be coming in a week or so. Today, we would like to introduce a bunch of new products from what they called: The Capsule, an innovative padded case. They are also introducing The Transit Arkiv, a weatherproof laptop briefcase that can be combined with the Radian, R2, R6, or R8 packs as a complete travel system. And lastly but not least, the Spec, a fully-padded laptop sleeve. The quality material used on their products is insanely good and built to endure. In their words The Capsule The Capsule is a padded camera case that fits inside all Mission Workshop backpacks 22-liters...
Beautiful Illustration for Havaianas Father's Day Campaign abduzeedo Aug 15, 2018 Willian Santiago shared a really cool set of illustration for the popular brand of sandals and flip-flops, Havaianas. It was for the father's day campaign in Brazil. What I love about this project and Havaianas is that they are constantly evolving their style. When we started the blog we featured some popular illustrations created for them from designers that became wild successful, mainly because of those projects. So nothing better than sharing Willian's work as well.  Willian Santiago is a Brazilian illustrator with a beautiful portfolio. The Book of Ideas - Volume 2 AoiroStudio Aug 15, 2018 Our good mate Radim Malinic has been promoting his new book and we thought it would be cool to share the news on ABDZ. Entitled: The Book of Ideas - Volume 2 , following on from the original series 2016 release and #1 Amazon bestseller in the Graphic Arts - Volume 1. We are really happy for Radim on his journey and expect to learn more about his experience from the last book along with case studies on the process of his illustrative work. In his words The book won’t teach you how to design, but it should show you how you can be a better and more thoughtful designer, thinker, and creator. Book of ideas - vol.2 continues what designer and creative director Radim Malinic started in the first edition, offering yet more indispensable advice on making it in the creative industries. Chapters cover issues ranging from creativity...
Stylish Poster Design by Jose Berrio abduzeedo Aug 14, 2018 Jose Berrio shared a really cool project of personal poster design on his Behance profile. They have all this dirty look, with some very stylish typography and textures. They bring back some old school movie posters, almost punk look. I liked the idea of creating personal projects to not only promote your skills but as away to let people know you are available for new projects. It's a way to differentiate yourself from the crowd. Jose is a a Colombian graphic designer currently based in Brooklyn. He received a degree in Graphic Design from LCI Bogotá and worked in advertising companies for seven years. I'm currently working as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. For more information make sure to check out. www.joseberrio.com Poster design ...

“there’s good inside” - Method’s Inspiring New Brand Campaign abduzeedo Aug 13, 2018 Today, Method Products, pbc - a pioneer in design-driven, people and planet-friendly home and personal care products - launches a new integrated brand campaign, “There’s Good Inside.” It spotlights the good inside its products, its people and its state-of-the-art, sustainable soap factory in Chicago. Brought to life with an uplifting, clean-centric cover anthem of the popular ‘90s earworm “I’m Gonna’ Be (500 Miles),” by The Proclaimers, the whimsical, smile-inducing campaign centers around the notion that most people don’t believe cleaning can be fun, creative or connected to their values. True to the brand’s disruptive nature, method® playfully disagree. “When people think of method®, they often think of our beautiful designs and wonderful fragrances, but there’s so much more depth to the brand,” said Doug Piwinski, method®’s Global Chief Marketing Officer. "This campaign is meant to draw attention to the beauty of what’s inside our bottles–not only how our products are made and...
Illustration of Parallel Reality in Russia 2077 abduzeedo Aug 13, 2018 Eugene Zubkov and Lena Terkunova shared some incredible illustration and digital art work on their Behance profile. The title is Russia 2077 and it has this utopian view of the future mixing old and extremely futurist ideas. Like an old car that flies and other crazy ideas. I love the imagination, especially the goal of trying to imagine how things would look 50-60 years in the future. Like Back to the Future. We tend to imagine things based on our reality, however disruption is all about creating something completely different. That's the topic for another post. For now check out these beautiful illustrations. "Russia 2077" is a project that presents a parallel reality, where hypertrophied images of modern technologies contrast with ordinary landscapes and everyday reality of provincial Russia, which decorations seem to have stuck in time. Eugene and Lena are illustrators from Russia. For more information make sure to check out their websites at

Game Design for the Colorful Word Galaxy abduzeedo Aug 10, 2018 NestStrix Studio shared a beautiful game design project on their Behance profile. It is for three iOS games, Word Puzzle, Quiz, Sudoku. They were really nice to share a bit of the behind the scenes. You can see the evolution from the interaction design point of view, including wireframes, to the visual design with the style up to the iconography. I love the friendly look they achieved with a 3Dish cartoon look. Everything feels very inviting to touch and interact, and that's one of the reasons I am a fan of this project and game design in general. NestStrix studio is a team of illustrators with a lot of experience. They love to create game stuff especially game characters and game backgrounds. Their portfolio showcase work they've done with companies and organizations all over the world. For more information make sure to check out their website. Game design
The Intersection of Food + Design: A Thought Provoking Look GisMullr Aug 09, 2018 How empowering would it be to cause social impact with your design? Have you ever thought about mixing design, technology and food to transform the way we eat? I honestly haven't thought about this before. At least not in this impactful fashion. I didn't realize that food & design could be so interesting and important together. What comes to mind when you hear "food & design"? To me, I envision fancy, curated dishes perfectly shot on Instagram. You know, the ones that look too good to be true? Or how about those super exclusive and fancy restaurants you see on TV shows but can only dream about actually going? So it was a happy surprise to read that The Dutch Institute of Food and Design is a platform for designers working with food and its impacts on society. They instigate designers creativity to collaborate with specialists and develop alternative approaches to the...

Adobe Adds 600+ Classic Monotype Fonts to CC abduzeedo Aug 08, 2018 Today Adobe announced the addition of 665 fonts from Monotype, one of the largest most influential type providers in the world, to the Adobe Typekit library; as well as new type features coming to Illustrator CC and InDesign CC. The Monotype fonts now available for sync offer some of the most well-known and beloved type to Creative Cloud users, spanning 41 different font families across a range of styles. Many of the fonts were originally designed in the early 20th century and have been updated and refined over the years to bring them from their original use cases such as the letterpress, hot-metal typesetting and phototypesetting to the digital era. Highlights of the collection include the 80s film classic ITC Benguiat (Stranger Things, anyone?), the bold and sophisticated ITC Avant Garde Gothic, the commercially popular Gills Sans, and the popular choice for titles and branding Rockwell Nova.
Analog Nights Series Photography in Sweden abduzeedo Aug 08, 2018 Simon Åslund is a photographer from Stockholm, Sweden and he's been constantly posting incredible images on his social media outlets. The photography we want to feature in his post is from a series title NIGHT and as the name suggests, it's all photos in the night. They are not just average photos, they feature the effect of the combo of light and fog to create simply stunning images. As a fan of light effects and neon, these photos are truly inspiring for me, and I hope they will inspire you as well. This is an on-going series about the night. Photographs taken in Dalarna and Stockholm, Sweden (2017-2018). For more information about Simon make sure to check out his Instagram profile and website. Photography ...

Exploring Hong Kong through Neon H-ART Series AoiroStudio Aug 07, 2018 19 Tones is a visual artist, content creator and photographer based in Moscow, Russian Federation. He has created an incredible series entitled: H-ART series, what I love about it? Well even though it's mentioning Neon, he is more focusing on the contrast instead of saturating the hues for a change (what we have been seeing a lot lately!). Well, it worked pretty well, I feel like it's photography at its purest. Check it out! More Links Personal site Behance
New Studio Spotlight: FOOL Brett Aug 06, 2018 Started by artist and designer Chas Barton, the manhattan-based photography studio FOOL is quickly becoming one to look out for. Their unique take on lifestyle and fashion photography is blended beautifully with a wanderlust-worthy portfolio of beautiful backdrops and effective compositions that leave you wanting more.  What I love about Fool’s style is how classically cinematic it is — and how it captures the spirit and feeling of each moment without being too content-forward. Their stories are told through tiny glimpses into wider experiences, their meanings open to interpretation. With such a nostalgic approach to photography, their work is inspiring enough to keep you reminiscing on where you’ve been or what you’ve done, perhaps when you were younger and a little more foolish. Truth be told, I found myself flicking through their website, seething with jealousy that I was sitting in a box in Mountain View, and not on some sun drenched rope swing in Hawaii. But the thing that keeps me coming back is that every photo...
